2023 $50,000 School Bursary Program

 

Our inaugural $50,000 School Bursary Program commenced in 2023. Browns Plains State High School, Flagstone State Community College, Mabel Park State High School, Marsden State High School, Park Ridge State High School, Woodridge State High School all took part in the voting competition. Voting was very close, but there could only be four successful schools! The $50,000 was distributed between 4 schools and 28 students. 

 

Tuesday 14th February 2023

The results were counted! Congratulations to Browns Plains State High SchoolFlagstone State Community CollegeMarsden State High School & Park Ridge State High School! Each school received $3,000 immediate sponsorship. The winning schools were to nominate 8 applicants to share in the remaining $38,000 bursary funds based on Academic & Excellence or Strength & Resilience.

 

Wednesday 6th September 2023

We had the first 16 students from Park Ridge State High School & Flagstone State Community College in for their interviews. Congratulations to all nominated students for your hard work! 32 students in total have been nominated for their Academic Excellence or Strength and Resilience. Thank you to Jason from CTA Training Specialists RTO 31607 for joining us for the interviews.

 

Wednesday 13th September 2023

Another impressive group of students in for their interviews  from Browns Plains State High School & Marsden State High School. We've certainly got some strong competition and great future leaders in Logan! Thank you to Jason from CTA Training Specialists RTO 31607 for joining us once again. 

Friday 20th October 2023

We held our Community Benefit Presentation on Friday 20th October, including school bursary winners and recipients. Here's a brief run down of our how it all went. 

  • Park Ridge State High School $3,000 plus, Overall Winner: Chassidy Grime $3,000, Runner up: Charlotte Jackson $2,000 and 8 students each received $500
  • Marsden State High School $3,000,  plus Runner up: Charlotte Farrell $2,000 and 8 students each received $500
  • Browns Plains High School $3,000,  plus Runner up: Jack Houston $2,000 and 8 students each received $500
  • Flagstone State Community College $3,000, plus Runner up: Eden Goydich $2,000 and 8 students each received $500

PLUS $11,000 in total donated to student’s selected charities: St Vincent De Paul - $3,000, Yalari Indigenous Education - $2,000, Cerebal Palsy Alliance - $2,000, Animal Welfare League - $2,000 and Starlight Foundation - $2,000

A huge thank you to CTA Training for their contribution of an additional $2,000 and 4 awards of encouragement going to Abel Budiono, Bellahrose Ashton, Momen Tajwar and Mubarika Qureshi.
